Hi this is Betsy from Otto’s.  Got time for a “can’t put it down” mystery?  Get Bad Moon by Todd Ritter.  Charlie Olmstead disappeared the night of the first Apollo moon landing.  When they found his bike in the creek above Sunset Falls, everyone assumed Charlie had fallen onto the rocks at the foot of the Falls and what was left of him had been swept away by the rushing water.  The police ruled “accidental death.”  His mother never believed it.  On her death bed she told his brother, Eric, “Find Charlie.”  It’s been more than forty years but his brother (who writes mysteries for a living) is determined to uncover clues as far as he can.  He finds his mother’s chart of five abductions (abductions?) in Pennsylvania—each on the date of lunar landings.  Could the moon have anything to do with it?  The tension never lets up as Eric and Kat, police chief, question the neighbors and family members of each of the boys.  I lost at least one night’s sleep getting to the surprising conclusion and you will too.  Bad Moon—you’ll find it at Otto’s, a booklover’s paradise in the heart of Downtown Williamsport.
