Christmas Books: 12/7/15

Ho. Ho. Ho.  This is Betsy from Otto’s.  Keeping Christmas by Dan Walsh is a sentimental story of a pair of empty nesters facing Christmas without any of their children home.  Depression seems to be canceling out their Christmas spirit.  But then, an ultimate sacrifice by her husband and a volunteer job that calls on her Christmas crafts make a huge difference in their Christmas celebration.  Sentimental?  Yes, but if you can’t get sentimental at Christmas, when can you?  Mistletoe Inn by Richard Paul Evans is about a woman who’s written a book but she can’t get it published.  So she goes to the Mistletoe Inn for a writers’ conference.  She meets and “clicks” with another attendee but he gives her advice about her writing that she does not welcome.  She goes home, defeated, until he follows, and mmm!  Another happy ending.  Get in the Christmas spirit with books from Otto’s, a booklover’s paradise in the heart of Downtown Williamsport.  Open 9 AM to 8 PM Monday through Friday, Saturday 9 to 6 and Sunday 1 to 4.  (We gift wrap free.)
