Christmas Treats: 12/13/2014

Ho, Ho, Ho, this is Betsy from Otto’s.

The Mistletoe Promise, by Richard Paul Evans, is the story of two lonely people signing a pact to pretend they’re a couple just between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  You guessed it!  They fall in love!  But oh the misunderstandings that almost ruin it!

An Island Christmas, by Nancy Thayer is about a faraway daughter returning home to Nantucket to marry her boyfriend and how her mother (who plans everything meticulously) has to endure the fall of the Christmas tree, her husband’s “wipe out” and the end of her dream of her daughter marrying the nice boy next door.  It’s hilarious!

A New York Christmas, by Ann Perry, set in 1904, is about the companion to a young girl about to marry into a wealthy and powerful family.  When scandal threatens, she is made a suspect in a murder case and she has to unravel all sorts of complicated relationships just to figure out who killed whom.

We’ve got all these and more season-centered stories waiting for you at Otto’s, a booklover’s paradise in the heart of downtown Williamsport.
