December First Friday: 11/30/15

Ho, ho, ho, this is Betsy from Otto's. This Friday, we have Judith Sornberger signing her book, The Accidental Pilgrim: Finding God and His Mother in Tuscany. Judith characterized herself as a “nice pagan girl.” Then she went to Italy and toured the churches and museums viewing the art—especially the paintings and statues of Mary and other women saints. As a professor of Women's studies at Mansfield U., she was attuned to the spirit that could be felt in taking a closer look at women in the Bible. The art she viewed is reproduced as full color images in her book. She shares the faith she found in The Accidental Pilgrim. Come meet her.

Also, this Friday, we will have a group of budding writers from Firetree Place. Their paperback book, Stories from Firetree Place is the result of last summer's writing workshop. It sparkles with imagination and emotion.

And to add to the Christmas spirit, we are pleased to have carolers from the Williamsport Civic Chorus.

Come join us Friday from 5 to 8 at Otto's, a booklover's paradise in the heart of Downtown Williamsport.
