December First Friday: November 26 – December 2, 2011

Hi this is Betsy from Otto’s.  We have three authors coming to our First Friday.  Don Sarvey has researched an event in regional history that shocked this area in 1967—the multiple killings on one day in Lock Haven.  Sarvey’s book, Day of Rage: Model Citizen Turns Cold-Blooded Killer in a Pennsylvania Small Town follows Leo Held’s actions that day and tries to understand what precipitated them.  Sascha Feinstein, this area’s premier authority on Jazz will be signing a book he edited, Keystone Korner: Portrait of a Jazz Club featuring the photographs of Kathy Sloane and interviews with performers and others who loved this jazz club. (The book comes with a Collectible CD of 70’s jazz.)  And come get a signed copy of Building the Ultimate Network.  Meet the author, motivational writer and speaker Victoria Mavis.  From 6 to 7, get in the holiday mood with the Williamsport Civic Chorus as they sing our favorite carols at Otto’s, for 170 years, a booklover’s paradise in the heart of Downtown Williamsport.
