THE GREAT RACE brings new life to an old fable

Kevin O'Malley's Great Race is a hilarious retelling of Aesop's tale of the tortoise & the hare. Lever Lapin (the surname means rabbit fur) is a thorn in the side of Nate Tortoise. Everywhere he goes, he has to see and hear the exploits of the great (in his own mind) Lapin.  Finally, one day at the La Gagandspew diner, when he is moved to make room for Lapin and his entourage, Nate challenges the fleet-footed hare to a race. The humor, puns and illustrations will tickle your funny bone as they add new life to an old tale.
