Hi, this is Betsy from Otto’s.  Lewisburg is the latest regional history book in the Images of America Series published by Arcadia Publishing Co.  And we are privileged to have the two authors as our First Friday guests this month.  Rick Sauers and Lois Huffines will be signing their book from 6 to 8.  How does one (or in this case, two) go about assembling the vintage pictures that show how a small, mostly agrarian, community became a well known and well respected Central Pennsylvania city and county seat?  How did a city famous for its University and its Penitentiary retain a small town sense of community?  Major employers like Pennsylvania House and three railroads have come and gone and still the town retains its reputation as a good place to live and raise a family.  Come see some of the pictures that didn’t make it into the book.  Come help celebrate Lewisburg, an Image of America, Friday from 6 to 8 at Otto’s, a booklover’s paradise, in the heart of Downtown Williamsport.
