Hi this is Betsy from Otto’s. Last fall, we had Cedar Run native, Earl Layser scheduled for a signing of his new book, Green Fire, but a medical emergency arose before he could make it. Now his condition is under control and he’s going to come to our May First Friday to share his experiences in the wilds observing and writing about the animals he’s seen there. Each chapter will be your favorite as you get up close and personal with one wild animal after another.
We are also having Jodi Moore, author of the picture book, When a Dragon Moves In, about a boy at the beach with his family. The stupendous sand castle he builds is home to a dragon, who has to take the blame for all the mischief the little boy gets into. Jodi wants to encourage young people to express their own imagination so she will be conducting a mini-workshop for young writers, ages 6 to 10,during her signing.
