Have you ever wanted to be in two minds at once, a boy’s and his beloved fox, Pax? These two go on a life-threatening journey to find each other. This book takes place in an area that has been corrupted by war so Peter, the boy, is forced to leave Pax, whom he had raised from a pup, on the side of an old abandon road. His father is part of a group that has to fight in the war so Peter has to move in with his grandfather, WITHOUT PAX! Peter can’t leave his fox so he sets out to find him. He runs into many nice people on his journey but the ending is not as nice as you would think.
