43 CEMETERY ROAD: DYING TO MEET YOU kicks off a clever new series

The author/illustrator sister team of Kate and M. Sarah Klise, best known for the clever Regarding the... books, have a new series set in a decrepit Victorian house in Ghastly, Illinois. If you like your ghost stories with humor and clever word play, check out 43 Cemetery Road: Dying to Meet You (Book 1).Seymour Hope is the eleven-year-old resident of the house. His best friend is Olive C. Spence, the woman who built the house and has been haunting it for the last ninety-seven years! Seymour's parents, Professors Les and Diane Hope are on a lecture tour of Europe, sharing their expertise in the study of ghosts and paranormal activity. So far unsuccessful at selling the house, they have rented it out for the summer - along with the care and keeping of their young son. Children's author Ignatius B. (I. B.) Grumbly is hoping to break his twenty-year writer's block and complete the thirteenth book in his Ghost Tamer Series at this isolated, rundown house. Using letters, newspaper articles and other assorted documentation, Kate tells of the unusual events that changed the lives of these characters one strange summer. M Sarah's illustrations add a certain touch of whimsy to the tale. And you can look forward to Over My Dead Body (Book 2) just in time for Halloween, 2009! Both available at Otto's, the booklover's paradise in the heart of downtown Williamsport.'
