About the Author

I have always believed that, as Robert Byrne once said, "The purpose of life is a life of purpose". After reaching my seventies, I decided to become a full time writer to pass on the lessons life has taught me. I've been writing management books since my twenties, but with the change of the century, I took a leap and dove into writing in the fields of Jungian psychology and psychological thrillers. My first encounter with the teachings of the Swiss psychologist C. G. Jung was during my midlife crisis. Reading "Man and his Symbols" at that time, inspired me to go deep into Jungian analysis and to begin devouring the writings of Jung and his disciples. Every masterpiece of literature can be absorbed through multiple interpretations, and yield important insights for our daily lives. With Jungian psychology's concepts, I interpreted some masterpieces of the world literature, unearthing important life teachings. My first Jungian book - "The Little Prince for Grown-ups", in its fourth edition in Brazil and already offered in English, was based on the famous book of Saint-Exupéry. The second, "The Jungian Bible", interprets some stories of the Old Testament and world myths. In addition to that, I am also writing fiction. Jesus Christ passed on his teachings in parables that were easy to read and enjoy. As a writer, I try to follow His approach, bringing ideas through fiction. "The Amazon Shaman," is a thriller involving the shaman initiation. Shamanism, according to Jung, is historically and symbolically the basis of modern psychotherapy. I like to see myself as an unorthodox philosopher that studied, in addition to Christianism and Jungian psychology, Buddhism, Hinduism, Shamanism, Sufism, Kabbalah, Spiritualism, and the Allan Kardec doctrine. As a result of the Jungian analysis, my analyst suggested that I learned music to work on my inferior function: feeling. After five years studying music, I composed my parent`s 50th anniversary mass. I attended Stanford University, where I completed a PhD in Economic Systems Planning (1969). In the business world, my great success was the turnaround of CSN, the largest steel mill in Latin America. Happiness. How can human beings live happier lives? This is what justifies all my searching and writings. I think I have some good ideas in this area, but they are far from enough. Do you have any contribution to my search?
