Dr. Knade has an extensive background in teaching and school administration. He began his career in education as a classroom teacher. He later served as an elementary school principal, central office administrator, superintendent of four schools in four districts, as well as assistant executive director of a state school boards association over a period of 37 years. He has lived in Williamsport for over 50 years and has served as a member and officer of numerous charitable and community service organizations.
