Snow Stories: 1/11/16

Hi this is Betsy from Otto’s with some suggestions for snow-deprived children whose parents and grandparents don’t want them to forget what snow is like.  The best of the children’s authors have written books on snow this year.  Jane Yolen has composed a poem, Sing a Season Song that Lisel Jane Ashlock has strikingly illustrated.  William Joyce has written a biography of Jack Frost—that’s the title—very imaginative details!  David Carter has created a pop-up book called Winter.  And Where Do Fairies Go When It Snows? is a book that shows children how to care for the winter needs of the fairies.  (Many ideas of fairy treats would help birds feed through the winter.)  We even have a couple of board   books about snow!  And not to ignore the grownups during this magical time of year—we have an adult coloring book on snowflakes and, yes, we also have the colored pencil sets—24 colors for only 8.95.  For all seasons, we’re Otto’s, a booklover’s paradise in the heart of downtown Williamsport.
