Hi this is Betsy from Otto’s. Set Up Running: The Life of a Pennsylvania Railroad Engineman, 1904-1949 is the story of Oscar Orr, a worker on the Elmira-Williamsport Branch of the Pennsylvania Railroad—his day-to-day life and challenges during the heyday of railroad transportation. It’s written by Oscar’s son, the late John W. Orr. We’ve been selling it since it came out nine and a half years ago for 34.95 (paperback). We now have a few for 19.95. And we still have fresh hardback copies of the World War Two classic, Unbroken, by Laura Hillenbrand for 14.98 (was $28.00); plus a great selection of children’s sale books featuring Splat the Cat, Fancy Nancy and Skippy John Jones for a fraction of their original prices.
And just a reminder, if you have any beloved book or bible that needs re-covering or repair, our son Peter is doing wonders with books that have seen better days. Come look over his work—all this at Otto’s, a booklover’s paradise in the heart of Downtown Williamsport. Happy New Year everyone!
