After a grueling campaign, Election Day has finally come to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and baker Sadie Moose is ready for her best friend, Paige, to win the Mayor's race. The promising day starts out on a grim note, though, with an altercation at a sign waving event sending rumors flying across town.

Then the fire alarm goes off at the polling place, and in the chaos, Sadie stumbles over a body in the smoke. It's Wade Fisher, Paige's billionaire developer opponent. And he's dead.

With Paige the prime suspect, Sadie and her quirky crew set out to solve the mystery. But as they crash press conferences, duck federal agents, question pageant queens, and sober up inebriated lawyers, the evidence continues to pile up against Paige. To complicate matters, Sadie's ex, Merritt, is back, and his fianc is Sadie's new lawyer, as well as the head of the shady Gotham Enterprises, which has been wreaking havoc on Sadie's life for months.

Will Sadie unravel the mystery before Paige gets locked up? Or will the killer pull off a surprise win?
